Job Description Summary Under the direction and supervision of licensed personnel, the Operating Room Assistant assists in providing direct patient care and tasks required for daily unit functions. Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Basic Life Support (BLS) within the first two weeks of hire. Thereafter, must maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS), either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
