Shift Details:
Dental Hygienist Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization.
Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress.
Update patient health history and chart treatment progress.
Expose and develop radiographs (if certified).
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments.
Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations and office recall systems.
Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with the industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA.
**Minimum Qualifications **
Current, valid, and unrestrictedGA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
Candidates must have at least six (6) months of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant Or Dental Hygiene Assistant Or in a Dental Assistant Internship to be considered.
Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered.
High school diploma or GED.
Associate’s Degree or certification in Dental Assisting (preferred but not required).
BLS certification.
X-ray training or certification.
Certified Dental Assistant.
Six (6) hour X-ray training certification.
Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents.
